I'll be driving two vintage BMWs in the course of ME-anderings 2012.
(Not at the same time, naturally... )
• The first is my nearly 40-year old BMW 2002.
This is the iconic little car that is credited with having launched the BMW brand in North America and having introduced the term 'sport sedan' to the automotive vernacular.
I'll be driving this car in Washington, Idaho, Utah and British Columbia.

• The second is my nearly 30-year old BMW 318i.
The 318i is an early example of the much-admired BMW 3-series line-up that spawned the term 'the ultimate driving machine.' My car is a very rare TC-2 model, with open air 'Top Cabriolet' designed by coach-builder Baur GmbH. TC-2s could be factory-ordered through BMW in the early '80s, when BMW had yet to introduce a convertible model of their own.
I'll be driving this car in Nevada and California (late summer.)
